Fire Chief Kevin P. Partridge (Retired)
Chief Kevin P. Partridge joined RPH Life Safety Consultants, LLC in January of 2022.
Chief Partridge retired in May of 2021 from the Town of Easton, MA after 38 years in the fire service and practiced in the area of Fire & Life Safety, Emergency Management, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) delivery and operations throughout his career. His expertise includes budgeting, capital programming, communications, emergency management and preparedness, and crisis leadership.
His experience includes 38 years in the Fire and EMS service, with 21 years as a Fire Chief for the Massachusetts towns of Berkley, Avon, and Easton. Chief Partridge instituted progressive changes to modernize the departments he served. Modernization efforts included equipment, facilities, personnel, training, and the regionalization of emergency dispatch operations for the four-town SEMRECC. Chief Partridge has had the opportunity to work in different communities, as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as a Senior Manager in the Department of Fire Services (DFS). His experience in working in different types of fire departments, and the State gained him significant knowledge and experience. He was responsible for oversight of various divisions at DFS including the Fire Safety Division, Fire Training, Special Operations and Hazardous Materials Response. His responsibilities at DFS also included representing the State Fire Marshal on various Board and Commissions including the Board of Fire Prevention Regulations, Fire Training Council, and the Hazardous Materials Mitigation Emergency Response Board.
In his final year of service as Emergency Management Director and Chief to the Town of Easton, Chief Partridge was recognized by the Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Agency / MMA for Excellence in Risk Management for his role in comprehensive community safety communications and robust employee safety protocols throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chief Partridge has an Associates degree in Fire Science from Bristol Community College and is a graduate of the Chief Fire Officer Management Program delivered jointly by the Massachusetts Fire Academy, and Edward J. Collins Center for Public Management at the University of Massachusetts. Chief Partridge served on the Southeast Homeland Security Council prior to his retirement. He currently serves on the Region Emergency Medical Services Council; Board of Directors and is a member of the Fire Science Advisory Board at Bristol Community College and is a Past President of the Fire Chiefs Association of MA, and the Bristol County Fire Chiefs. Chief Partridge continues to serve as an On-Call Assistant Chief for the Berkley Fire & Rescue Department.
