Paramedic Stacy Gillis joined RPH Life Safety Consultants, LLC in September 2026.

Paramedic Stacy Gillis has spent more than 30 years in emergency medical services, with over 15 years dedicated to EMS education, leadership, and program development. Throughout her career, she has worked to make education practical, relevant, and directly connected to the realities providers face in the field.

As an experienced paramedic educator, Stacy has taught providers at multiple levels and across a wide range of topics, including initial EMT education, continuing education, resuscitation, pediatric emergencies, tactical and high-risk response, and clinical decision-making. She is an instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), CPR, several NAEMT programs, as well as a Massachusetts Instructor Coordinator. Simulation training is one of her specialties.

Stacy currently serves as the Director of Strategy & Innovation and CAPCE Coordinator for McNeilly EMS Educators, where her work extends beyond the classroom to curriculum development, simulation, continuing education, and the creation of programs designed to help EMS professionals maintain and strengthen their skills throughout their careers.

In addition to her work in education, Stacy continues to practice clinically as a paramedic with a home hospital program, providing hospital-level care to patients in their homes. Staying active in patient care allows her to bring current clinical experiences and an evolving healthcare environment directly into the classroom.

Her teaching philosophy is grounded in a simple idea: knowing information and being able to use it when a patient needs you are two very different things. Stacy focuses on helping students understand not only what to do, but why they are doing it and how to adapt when a real call doesn't look like the textbook. She incorporates discussion, hands-on practice, simulation, and realistic scenarios to help students build confidence, improve clinical judgment, and become better problem-solvers.

After decades in EMS, Stacy remains passionate about improving the way providers are trained and supported throughout their careers. She believes excellent EMS education should challenge students without intimidating them, encourage questions, and create an environment where making mistakes during training becomes an opportunity to learn before the stakes are real.

Outside of EMS and education, Stacy enjoys traveling, photography, and writing. Whether exploring somewhere new with a camera in hand or working on her latest writing project, she enjoys finding and telling the stories that exist beyond the classroom and the ambulance.
